About this Speaker
I learned everything I know about real estate investment, people, and life from my dad.
He used to take me to look at properties when I was just a toddler. He would get the list from the county of potential foreclosures in Westchester, NY and we would drive by all of them. We would always stop and look in the windows. If no one was home, we would try the door. If it was locked, he would open a window and help me hop in so I could open the door. This is how I learned about real estate investment.
We spent our weekends looking at properties and going to yard sales. At every yard sale he asked the owners of the house if they were moving. And so the conversation goes. All he did was build relationships with people and give them an option. A way to solve their problem with little hassle. I have adopted this philosophy wholeheartedly. This is how I learned about people.
He always used to lecture me on our rides. On money. On life. On relationships. And when I got older, it dawned on me in one fell swoop. The guy knew everything and he knew how to do things the right way, with care for others. This is how I learned about life.
It all started with him, Steven Charles Greene. He died 15 years ago and I carry his legacy with me every day.
